1.Where do you get your inspiration from to create your designs?
I get my inspiration through many forms. The most of which is Life in general. My collections generally carry a high amount of emotion and story. These mainly come from my own personal life experiences and those of others I meet, the up’s and down’s. For example my graduate collection was based on my experiences during the civil war in Sierra Leone. My aim is not to just create, but TELL.
2. How would you describe your work?
An edgy blend of unique, bold and bright statement wear.
3. Where do you see Sydney Davies in 5 years?
I see Sydney-Davies as an established label changing the face of fashion and bringing people out of their shadows in into the bright where they are not afraid to wear bold colour and print. Where they are proud to be unique.
4.Who inspires you the most in fashion?
I’m constant inspired daily and would be impossible to choose just one. There are many fashion and industry personalities that inspire me in their own ways. One that is at the top of my list is Alexander McQueen as it was when there, my fate in fashion was sealed and I knew there was nothing else, no going back. Apart from the obvious unmistakable genius that is Alexander Mcquuens work which inspired me every single day.
5. How would you like to be contacted by anyone interested in your designs?
